These should get you started on the more common questions and comments. Definitely email me your specific questions and I'll get back to you asap
Q: Will you do a poster for my band's next gig?
A: It's possible. Email me with the info and let's talk specifics. Scheduling is the biggest obstacle.
Q: Just got my posters home and they are awesome! I'm going to get them framed so they look extra awesome!
A: That's great. I love to hear that. Send me a picture of it framed and on the wall so I can put it up on the site with the others. I like to see my work in it's new home. (with it's new owners in the picture too if you can)
Q: I just won an auction for one of your prints on Ebay and it's 3X the price you charge on this site. Can I pay you less or get out of the deal?
A: Dude, seriously. Everything listed on Ebay has a link to my site in the item description. Why don't you read the description first, do a little research, and then place a bid? Ebay is separate from this site and is handled by someone else.
Q: I was charged $x for duties/taxes/tariffs in my home country of wherever I live when I picked up my item today. Why? I thought all shipping and other costs were included in the total price.
A: I can't give an exact answer on this because countries handle customs differently. I can tell you about my end... Every tube I ship out of the US has a customs form attached. On this form I am required to list the contents of the tube. "Art print" and quantity is all I put. I usually mark the item as a "Gift" in hopes that will slide it through untaxed. I am required to list the value of the prints- I list this as low as realistically possible so if you are taxed the amount is low. So I do what I can to help you out, but it's totally out of my control how your country works.
Q: Why do I have to pay sales tax?
A: Because I am not only an artist but a legitimate California business as well. If you live in California, the man wants his cut. This goes for Ebay too. I've had a few people get all bent out of shape about having to pay tax on an Ebay purchase. If you never were charged state tax upon Ebay checkout before then consider yourself lucky. Web design and anything that is delivered directly to a third party printer is exempt, but screen printing, posters, custom illustrations and just about everything else is taxed @ 8% Sorry, it's the law!
Q: Shipping is included in all your prices?
A: That's right. Shipping and handling is factored into all my prices on this site, however, Ebay is different. Shipping is a fixed amount for Ebay items added in at checkout. Canadians tend to get hosed on the deal because they are "international" yet very close in actual shipping price. I like to throw in some extras for them to better the deal.
Q: Do you sell your posters wholesale?
A: Yes. Wholesale pricing is half of the listed price on this site. 5 is the minimum order per design for wholesale pricing. You pay actual shipping costs.
Q: How much does it cost to build a website?
A: $50-$50,000 depending on what you want.
